This Wiki will be dedicated to the students in our class. They will develop the web pages found here and fill them with topics and ideas that are important and interesting to them. The students just posted a new play on our Creative Corner page. There is also some reviews of movies, books, and games at Critic's Corner. Check them out!!
Dr. Green Robotics Club!
This year, a select group of 5th grade students will be joining an after school robotics club. They will be working twice a week to create a robot to enter in a competition later in December. We are all very excited about starting this club and look forward to sharing our learning experiences with everyone. To learn more about the robotics compitition, you can visit the TCEA (Texas Computer Education Association) website for the Invention and Arena copetitions. There you will find the rules and deadlines for the competition. You can also visit our Class Blog to get more information on what our club will be building and inventing.
Science Fair Information:

Our Tin Can Rally has finally arrived! We will be streaming our single elimination competition live at about 2:00 MST. Hope you can tune in and see the fun!
I took some pictures from this school year and put them into a short (new and improved) video for everybody. Take a look and see all the things our students learned and experienced last year!
"Tin Can Rally" Final Four!
The final race from our 2008 In Can Rally. It was really exciting:
I have been trying to think of a way to get the students motivated to take their upcoming TAKS test. In the past I have given a speech on how taking the test is like looking for a hidden treasure or fighting against the forces of evil. I decided to take that speech and put it into motion. Below is the finished presentation.
I have attached a video of a presentation given at a 2006 TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) conference by Sir Ken Robinson. It is a very interesting perspective on our current public education process. It is approximately 20 minutes long, but well worth the time.
